Audeze has crafted this groundbreaking technology in collaboration with Professor Mark S. Cohen, Ph.D., and his research team at the UCLA School of Medicine, initially for applications in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The use of conventional ferrous metals was not feasible, prompting us to innovate a novel material. This effort culminated in the patenting of a unique thin film embedded with suspended carbon nanotubes, effectively addressing issues related to both lamination and deposition on the film.

Innovative Carbon Nanotube Technology

At the heart of the CRBN driver lies an advanced, ultra-thin diaphragm, which integrates carbon nanotubes suspended within its structure. This design allows for an even distribution of charge throughout the diaphragm, generating a uniform driving force. While depicted as a black disc in illustrations, the actual diaphragm possesses a remarkable transparency, making it almost completely clear. Complementing the diaphragm are the Stators on either side, which are responsible for receiving the 580-volt bias voltage.

To maximize usability, the cable features a standard 5-pin barrel connector, ensuring broad compatibility across various systems.
